Pinedrop

Stop losing half your trip's photos.

Offline · Peer-to-peer · Free

The best photos of you are always on someone else's phone. Pinedrop gathers the whole group's photos and videos into one shared album — directly phone to phone, right at the campfire, no internet needed. Free, private, and no account to create.

The trip ends. The photos scatter. The best moments are spread across a dozen phones. Someone's chat is muted, someone ran out of space, the videos are too big to send. Half the memories never make it to you.

No internet required

Built for the mountains, the trail, the boat — anywhere signal forgets. Phones talk to each other directly.

Your photos stay yours

Everything happens on your devices. You choose what enters the album; the rest never leaves your phone.

How it works

Four steps, zero internet

01

Start a trip in seconds

Create a trip and show a QR code. Everyone scans it to join — offline, just the camera. No accounts, no phone numbers.

02

Pick what to share

Pinedrop finds the photos and videos you shot during the trip and proposes them. You untick anything private — nothing leaves your phone that you didn't choose.

03

Gather at the campfire

When phones are near each other, they sync directly, device to device. The shared album fills up in front of you — previews first, then the full-quality files you want.

04

Everyone leaves with everything

Each person walks away with the whole group's album — including the shots they could never have taken themselves. Save the ones you love to your Photos.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Does Pinedrop work without internet?

Yes — that's the point. Phones connect directly to each other over local Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so the shared album fills up even with zero signal. No cellular, no router, no internet.

Is Pinedrop really free?

Yes. Free for the whole group — no subscription, no ads, no account. Pinedrop Pro for tours and big groups is coming later.

Do I need an account or a phone number?

No. One person creates a trip and shows a QR code; everyone else scans it with the camera and they're in. Sign in with Apple is optional and only labels your photos with your name.

How is this different from AirDrop or iCloud Shared Albums?

AirDrop sends files one way, to one person at a time. iCloud Shared Albums need internet and compress your photos. Pinedrop merges the whole group's photos and videos into one shared album automatically, offline, with full-quality originals when you ask for them.

Bring the whole trip home

Add Pinedrop before your next no-signal trip — joining takes the whole group a minute. At the campfire, everyone's memories find their way to everyone.
